Why we don’t count calories

We believe that nutritional value is not reflected by calories. What matters is the bodies ability to break down and assimilate food, counting calories detracts from what really counts which is the nutrient density of the food consumed. Animal protein with its fat and protein combination is the most difficult for your body to digest.

Our Shawarma story (World’s Most Expensive Shawarma)

Oyster Mushrooms.

Deep within the dark seabed of the Atlantic, legend has it there exists a small but slowly growing population of Oyster Mushrooms — a breed of mushrooms that is among the most potent and delicious in the galaxy. It is said that Gilgamesh himself spent countless years looking for these mushrooms in his pursuit of eternal life. We’re happy to announce that, after 27 years of carefully scanning seabeds using our patented infra- blue technology, we have determined the location of these magical mushrooms. Of course, their limited population imposes constraints on how frequently we can serve this dish. We do our best to ensure that their population will continue to thrive for years to come.

Oven Baked Potatoes.

During a casual discussion with some business partners, we came to know that the International Space Station has the world’s finest oven ever made. After sourcing our potatoes that are hand picked by Bavarian farmers on their 40th birthday, we have figured out a way to create a distance-eliminatorium-vortex- portal that allows us to instantly transport the carefully sliced potatoes from our kitchen in liwan directly to the space station’s oven and back. Due to the highly unstable nature of this portal we only use it over the weekend to minimize any chances of causing a global blackout.

Plum Tomatoes.

Believe it or not, we grow our plum tomatoes in the secret room on our second floor. Everyday, for at least 33 minutes, a member of our team will go in to carefully adjust the lighting, pour a carefully measured dose of supersonically purified water, and sing a gentle lullaby called Twinkle Twinkle to ensure optimal growth conditions.

Baby Lettuce.

We have gone through pain-stacking efforts in sourcing our baby lettuce. The LWS (Lettuce Welfare Society) has deemed the separation of baby lettuce from their parents cruel and illegal. Lucky for us, after years of contacting farmers across the globe, we came across a lovely farm in China where the LWS has no presence whatsoever.

Cucumber.

The cucumbers are gently massaged using the Shiatsu technique for a few minutes every hour to ensure the correct level of sweetness and texture. This involves carefully setting alarms throughout the night. Many of our team members haven’t had a full night’s rest for over 90 days.

Wrap.

The wrap is G.L.U.T.E.N free. Which means the glutinous, lumpy, unfriendly, exhausting nemesis, has been successfully extracted using an organite infused zapper. The G.L.U.T.E.N is then launched into outer space to ensure it never returns to planet earth ever again.

Of course, there’s so much more to the W.M.E. Shawarma that we won’t be able to dive into right here. We hope you like it as much as we do.

P.S. We may or may not have had too many mushrooms while writing the above.

P.P.S. We don’t recommend driving shortly after consuming more than 2 shawarmas.

P.P.P.S. I hope you know we’re just kidding. One thing we’re not kidding about, however, is that this is a fine shawarma indeed.
